A tooth can be compared to a tree which is anchored
firmly in the ground. A tooth is held firmly in the bone
and gums. The roots of a tooth are like the roots of a
tree: when they are strong they hold up the top part,
so we can eat properly. |
We must take good care of our teeth. If we take too
many sweet foods, they can make our teeth "less strong".
(Some sugars increase the growth of bacteria in the mouth,
which may result in decay.) |

| Some foods are good for teeth. Some foods are bad for
teeth, e.g. sweet or sticky foods. (If taking "bad"
foods, take little and rinse or brush afterwards.) |
How do we brush our teeth? (Show the method of brushing,
with a plastic model if possible.) |
When do we brush our teeth? Brush after meals (if possible)
and before sleeping, so that dirty "bugs" are
not left on them. |
